A funding grant is available for Professional Staff through the Shultz Travel Award. We know that it can be difficult for staff to fund professional development for a national conference. The award will provide up to $500 reimbursement for travel/hotel costs to attend the annual meeting for up to two staff attendees. Specifically, the award will be given as a reimbursement for individual out of pocket expenses and more details will be provided to the awardees.

Award details:

‍ 1. The LCI Administrative and Professional Staff committee will select up to two professional staff each year to receive the award.

2. Priority will be given to staff participating as workshop, poster, or research presenters; and staff who have financial support from their institution.

3. Recipients from LCI member institutions preferred.

4. Award funds may be used toward any travel expenses, as deemed necessary by the recipient.

The application is available here and is due on August 10, 2026.

Award decisions will be announced no later than the first week in September.
